IDEAS and how to implement it as an interior architect.

The picture you have seen above, is my first magazine cover with a publication for me as a young architect, who has nominated as a winner from Dulux Competition 2016. There were several categories, and I won on the Small Space Living Interior Design Competition. This writings is worth to share on how i was thinking and improving my skills to challenge myself on a bigger step on my career.
Let me tell you about the design process
First of all, i did it all by myself to know how to measure myself as a young creative in this broad architecture and design industry. Starting from a brief that we could design a space for living no more than 30 sqm, i decided to build a conceptual house less than the standard applied. Struggling with 27 sqm, i put so many ideas inside this limited space. How did i do that?
I created a story line based on the character on who as the dwellers. As i thought in the beginning, how should i wrap up so many ideas into one pack of a beautiful concept with so many function in it. I started to create story line, with a couple of characters who would stay in this micro living. I came up with Charista as the character of the wife, she has her own business as an clothing online-shop owner who needs more private space when she works. She is an introvert, yet very conscious about fashion, also an active housewife who loves to cook. While her husband, Ivan, however is a young with his profession as a director in a private company. His character is an artistic - enthusiast for films and has a highly social life, he is vibrant and love to do experiment on his life. From this point of view, me as a designer started to think what would be their needs for their house. To describe diversity in Indonesia, this couple has their own religion, which in particular society, it is being a sensitive topic to discuss . To me, this is how i describe how unique is Indonesia.
Then i adjust into 4 main function in such tiny space:
1. Screening Area
2. Flexible Area
3. Compartment
4. Spiritual Area
