A Designer piece in series

Crash Landing on You. The new South Korean drama series, which aired on Netflix in December 2019, tells a story of a South Korean heiress, Yoon Se-ri, as she accidentally paraglides into a forest in the DMZ in North Korea, where she fell into the arms (literally) of a North Korean army officer, Ri Jeong-hyuk.

Because of it's high popularity and rating, we thought it would be fun to take a closer look at the striking difference between the homes of these two characters!

To start off, Yoon Se-ri;s house is clearly a designer place. It is filled with designed items, one of which is Patricia Urquiola's Shimmer table (we'll get into that). Although the house do look chic, it lacks comfort and soul.

First, it lacks of natural air and light (though there are multiple lighting fixtures), and second, there is an absence of framed family picture, where instead, there are pictures of her company and achievements.

On the contrary, Ri Jung-Hyuk's house can be seen more as a home due to it's natural sunlight and open aired living room, allowing for as much natural ventilation as possible. Apart from old photographs which an be seen in his house, he also has a vast collection of books.

Now, about that Patricia Urquiola's Shimmer table...

SHIIMMER by Patricia Urquiola

The Shimmer rang, which includes low tables, consoles, and shelves, are created by using an iridescent multi-chromatic finish, which adds an ethereal element to the Shimmer series.

Its reflected hues and tones give the impression of transparency and density, which appears in different colors depending on the viewing position
